School to School Support

The Aspire Teaching School Alliance is able to offer a wide range of school to school support through deployment of a number of specialists. These specialist colleagues operate as:

National Leaders of Education

National leaders of education (NLEs) are outstanding headteachers or principals who, together with the staff in their schools (designated national support schools (NSS), use their skills and experience to support schools in challenging circumstances. In addition to leading their own schools, NLEs work to increase the leadership capacity of other schools to help raise standards.

Local Leaders of Education

Local leaders of education (LLEs) are successful headteachers with a proven track record of supporting other schools, and with the capacity to work alongside other heads to drive forward improvements and build capacity to ensure that improvements can be sustained.

We are currently recruiting for LLEs.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 23rd May 2018 and interviews will be held Tues 12th June 2018.

If you are successfully selected for interview you will take part in an exercise in the morning and a 1:1 interview in the afternoon.  There is no preparation required for the exercise.

Specialist Leaders of Education

Specialist leaders of education (SLEs) are outstanding middle and senior leaders who have the skills to support individuals or teams in similar positions in other schools. They understand what outstanding leadership practice in their area of expertise looks like and are skilled in helping other leaders to achieve it in their own context.

We are now recruiting for SLEs to work with Aspire Teaching School Alliance.
Interview wil be held on Friday 15th June 2018 and the deadline for applications to be received is 5pm on Friday 25th May 2018.  We wil contact succssful application with a time for interview on Monday 11th June 2018.
If you are successfully selected for interview you will take part in a leaderless group discussion with other candidates, which will last arund 20 minutes.  You will then be asked t make an individual presentation of no more than 10 minutes.
Your presentation should address the following theme: Give an example of how you have supported others in or beyond your own school in your field of expertise.  Describe how you went about doing this, referring to key opportunities and challenges, and draw on evidence of theimpact of this work.
Please note: If you have no experience of supporting ohers, it is acceptable to give a presentation based on experience of supporting within your own school.
You will be given the topic for the group discussions on the day.
